Zylair · United Kingdom Engineering & stores software

Software for the people who keep the plant running.

Zylair builds small, sharp web apps for engineering, maintenance and stores teams in manufacturing. One job each. Sold on their own. Built so a fitter in gloves can use them standing next to a broken machine.

Not a platform. Not a suite. A set of apps that kill spreadsheets.

Zylair is a UK software company building practical tools for engineering departments and stores in industrial businesses. Every app is bought on its own, on its own domain, and works on day one without an implementation project.

The rule we build to: if an engineer can't use it one-handed, in gloves, standing next to a broken machine, it isn't finished. That single constraint decides most of what we leave out.

01
One job

Each app does exactly one thing. Parts requests. Tool loans. PPE tracking. Not a platform trying to do everything badly.

02
Works in gloves

If a fitter can't raise a request one-handed, standing next to a broken machine, it isn't finished. That constraint shapes every decision.

03
No training needed

Open it and it works. No implementation project, no consultant, no six-week onboarding. A site can be set up in an afternoon.

Nobody can answer a simple question: was the part actually ordered?

Today, at most sites
Engineers request parts over WhatsApp and hope for the best
Stores have no single list of what's outstanding
Managers can't tell what's been ordered and what's still on a post-it note
Critical parts sit unordered because nobody knew the urgency
Month-end reviews are built on guesses, not records
With PartsRequester
Every request is logged, timestamped and tracked from phone to delivery
Stores work from one live list, not six different channels
Managers see critical, stale and overdue at a glance
Urgency is set on the request, not shouted across the floor
Reporting is real data, not a best estimate

PartsRequester

Parts, tools and PPE requests for manufacturing and industrial sites. Engineers raise a request from their phone in under a minute. Stores and managers get one place to track every request from submission through to delivery, with full visibility on what's critical, what's stale, what's on order and what's overdue.

Part, quantity, machine, urgency and a photo. Submitted before you've walked back to the office.

02
Stores dashboard

One view of every open request. Sorted by status. Nothing falls through the gaps.

03
Critical flags

Mark a request as critical and it goes to the top of every list, automatically.

04

05
Overdue alerts

Anything past its expected delivery date gets flagged. No chasing required.

06
Manager view

Cross-department visibility. See the full picture without asking anyone.

Mobile request screen
Raise it where the problem is

Part, quantity, machine, urgency, photo. Submitted before you've walked back to the office.

Manager status board
See critical, stale and overdue

Managers get the real picture of outstanding orders, not a guess based on who shouted loudest.

Four steps, and everyone can see which one you're on.

01
Raise

Engineer submits a request from their phone. Part, quantity, machine, urgency. Takes under a minute.

02
Acknowledged

Stores see it immediately on their dashboard and mark it picked up. No more requests disappearing into a void.

03
Ordered

Stores log the supplier, order reference and expected delivery. The engineer can see it's been placed.

04
Delivered

Request closes. Full history retained. Nothing lost, nothing disputed.

One app now. More on the way.

Each app stands alone and is sold on its own domain. Run one, or run all of them.

Several. Zylair is the company; each app is sold separately on its own site. PartsRequester is the first, at partsrequester.co.uk. You don't buy "Zylair" — you buy the app that solves your problem.

Tell us how requests work at your site right now.

We'd rather hear about the mess you're dealing with than send you a brochure.
